Wednesday 24th July : Stand Up Comedy with Alan Francis and Ian Macdonald.

We’ve got two fantastic comedians lined up to tickle your funny bone:

🌟Alan Francis
The Comedy Maestro Alan Francis, crowned the winner of the Channel 4 So You Think You’re Funny Competition in 1991, has carved an illustrious path in comedy and television. His stand-up performances have graced both the UK and International Comedy Circuit, leaving audiences in stitches. You might recognise him from cult shows like “Psychoville” and “Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge.” But that’s not all—Alan’s versatility extends to TV dramas, and he’s even trod the boards of West End theatres and The Royal Court. During lockdown, he hosted his own captivating show on Radio 4 titled “Inside Alan Francis.”⁠

🌟Ian Macdonald

The Laughter Architect Ian Macdonald, the man who once had 400 vicars laughing in unison (yes, really!), discovered that Stand Up Comedy was his mid-life crisis of choice. His unique brand of cheerful incredulity warms hearts and tickles funny bones. Described as “warm,” “full of heart,” and “very very funny,” Ian brings his A-game to every gig. So, prepare for an evening of laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments!⁠
Having started in comedy as a fresh-faced 60 year old, Richard is now an overweight and care worn 70 year old man who brings a lifetime of experiences to the stage in a gag-laden set - with a bit of darkness thrown in. He remembers the waiting room of a disused bus station as being the “highlight” of his comedy career to date but his age and personality bring that “something different” to line-ups.
